Members of OUC’s Executive Leadership Team meet at Heart of Florida United Way to assemble Thanksgiving dinner kits.
Members of OUC’s Executive Leadership Team (XLT) put their jobs on hold for a few hours on Oct. 25 so they could work on giving back to the community. Seated at tables at Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW), the executives, joined by some of their administrative assistants, assembled 400 Thanksgiving dinner kits that included holiday-themed paper plates, napkins, placemats and children’s book, plus a box of crayons and a hand-written note.
In kicking off the Executive Day of Giving event, Clint Bullock, General Manager & CEO, thanked members of his leadership team for helping to make a positive difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

Mindy Brenay, Chief Financial Officer, helps put together Thanksgiving dinner kits that will be distributed to disadvantaged families.
Lynnea Crawford, Vice President of Donor and Volunteer Experience at HFUW, said the 400 “kits” OUC funded and its executives packed will be part of a larger donation to disadvantaged families with children considered to be “early readers” in pre-K, kindergarten and first grade. The kits will be distributed on Nov. 19, the Saturday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 24).
Crawford said that this is the first year HFUW has added a reading component to a portion of the Thanksgiving dinner kits it will distribute.

Each kit included Thanksgiving-themed paper plates, placements, napkins and children’s book, plus a box of crayons and hand-written note.
