For the sixth consecutive year, OUC has been named one of the “Healthiest Employers®” in Central Florida. In earning the 2023 award sponsored by Springbuk, OUC retained its second-place standing among companies with 500 to 1,999 employers.

Springbuk, a leading health intelligence service, evaluated and scored Healthiest Employers® nominations in six key categories: culture and leadership, foundational components, strategic planning, communications and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics.

“It’s an honor for OUC to be recognized, once again, as a Healthiest Employer® in Central Florida. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our employers,” said Latisha Thompson, Chief Employee Experience Officer. “OUC’s NO. 1 core value, ‘Make Safety First,’ is all encompassing, focusing on the whole person and all aspects of their life and environment. We strongly believe that a healthy workforce is critical to OUC’s success.”

Benefits that helped OUC secure another Healthiest Employer® award include a medical plan design, which provides generic medications at no cost to employees, and paid parental leave. Effective Jan. 1, 2023, employees can take eight weeks of paid time off for the birth or adoption of a child.

Additionally, OUC’s Wellbeing program offers employees educational sessions, free onsite fitness centers, onsite health screening, virtual group exercise classes, mental health counseling through Talk Space, resilience training, mindfulness training, financial wellbeing education through Fidelity Investments, onsite mobile dermatological screenings, and other benefits.

Earlier this year, OUC won the 2023 Best Wellness Employer Gold Certification by Wellness Workdays, a provider of corporate wellness programs in partnership with Harvard Medical School. OUC has claimed this honor six years in a row.
