On Friday, October 9, OUC again responded to a call for help from a municipal utility in Louisiana. This marks our third mutual aid deployment this year
Lafayatte, La., is in the path of Hurricane Delta and expects high wind and rain, resulting in power grid damage.
OUC’s 12-member crew will begin work as soon as it is safe to do so and will remain in the area until it is no longer needed.
The crew will observe OUC’s COVID-19 precautions, which include social distancing and enhanced safety and sanitization protocols.
The power mutual aid team includes line technicians Brent Lowery (Line Supervisor), Roger McBride, Steve Ramos, Charles Wincey, Michael Shepard, Donnie Hurley, Terrance Roberson Sr., Austin Nettles, Hunter Newman, Dale Rushing, Blake Bailey, and fleet mechanic Marc O’Dell.
