OUC line technicians repair a damaged Tri-County Electric Cooperative utility pole Saturday in Greenville.
Their power restoration work completed in Tallahassee, OUC line crews on Saturday answered another call for help from a North Florida electric utility recovering from Hurricane Idalia damage. The 20-member team traveled to Greenville, about 45 miles east of the state capital, to assist Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) and will remain there until released.
Crews from Kissimmee Utility Authority and Lakeland Electric were also redeployed from Tallahassee to aid TCEC, with a team from the City of Tallahassee Utilities joining the recovery operation.
OUC’s mutual aid team of 19 linemen and a Fleet technician spent the previous two days restoring power to CTU customers.
