Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts an above-normal period of storm activity, with 13 to 20 named storms, six to 10 hurricanes and three to five major hurricanes in 2021. One named storm, Ana, preceded the official start of the season by 10 days but didn’t pose a threat.
