OUC – The Reliable One, the City of Orlando and LYNX all shared the 2020 Golden Brick Award (GBA) for “outstanding performance or leadership in sustainability that supports Orlando’s vision to become one of the most sustainable cities in America.”

The Downtown Economic Partnership, on May 11, 2021, presented 12 Golden Brick Awards for “any project that positively impacts Downtown Orlando.” The Sustainability & Resiliency GBA recognized LYNX’s zero-emission electric bus initiative. OUC’s partnership in the project includes building the charging infrastructure for the battery-powered e-buses. LYNX currently operates eight e-buses on its downtown LYMMO line and expects to grow its e-bus fleet to 14.

The soccer ball-shaped solar sculpture “Gyration” at Exploria Stadium was a finalist in the Sustainability & Resiliency category. OUC, University of Central Florida, Orlando City Soccer and the Costa Group were partners on the project.

OUC sponsored the Sustainability & Resiliency Golden Brick Award.
