Through volunteerism and fund-raising, OUC is supporting Pathlight HOME as a designated charity of the 2022 OUCares Workplace Giving Campaign, “Lend a Helping Hand.” The local nonprofit provides an array of services to the homeless, including affordable housing, employment opportunities and mental health support.
For the 2022 Executive Day of Giving, which was held in January, OUC leadership team members went door to door to deliver bags of personal care items to residents of Pathlight HOME’s Maxwell Garden apartments. The following month, employee volunteers and family members spent five hours on a Saturday working at Pathlight HOME’s Drop-In Center. There, volunteers planted new landscaping and spruced up the facility with fresh coats of paint, inside and out.
Through OUCares, employees pledged $33,863 to Pathlight Home, while the 2022 OUC Charity Golf Tournament raised $15,000 for this good cause.
