Three OUC employees gave a combined 2,002 hours of their time in 2019 to helping the community, making them our leading PROUD Volunteers.
At the January Commission Board meeting, Linda Ferrone, Chief Customer & Marketing Officer, commended Lawrence Strawn, Manager of Corporate Analytics & Planning; Gina Johnson, Director of Financial Planning; and Endy Ortiz, Computer Specialist Team Lead, for their dedication to volunteerism. Each received a plaque recognizing their community service.
Strawn’s 791 volunteer hours were spent as a scoutmaster of Boy Scouts Troop 23 while Johnson gave 761 hours to The Youth Foundation for Tomorrow’s Future and All About the Kids and Ortiz put in 450 hours as director of coaching of North Lakeland Youth Soccer and as the coach of an under 11 boys team.
Collectively, 73 OUC employees volunteered more than 7,000 hours of their time in 2019.
