On June 8, members of OUC’s Marketing & New Products and Employee Experience teams represented OUC at the City of Orlando’s CommUNITY Rainbow Run and at the St. Cloud Pride Alliance’s inaugural Proud in the Cloud event.
The 8th annual CommUNITY Rainbow Run honors the 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting. The 4.9K race took runners from City Hall to the Pulse nightclub site and back. Nearly 2,000 people participated in the run. OUC provided water for participants and staffed a booth with information about residential rebates and giveaway items.

On the same day, at the inaugural Proud in the Cloud festival at Lakefront Park in St. Cloud, OUC sponsored the event’s “Kids Zone.” The festival was organized by the St. Cloud Pride Alliance whose goal is to provide a safe space for members of the Osceola County community to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. Jessica Chislett, Community Engagement Coordinator, Jerel Hackett, Technology Delivery Manager, and Giselle Flowers, Billing Operations Specialist, represented OUC and gave out brochures and pride flags to attendees.
