The drawing “Teamwork Keeps Us Hydrated” won the coveted cover placement on the 2023 Water Color Calendar. Nathaniel “Nate” D., a fourth-grade student at Arbor Ridge K-8, created the artwork in an art class taught by Sean Nagy.
In October, fourth- and fifth-grade Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) students submitted 111 water conservation-themed drawings in the 2023 Water Color Project – Calendar Contest. OUC employees narrowed the entries to the 13 that best represented the Water Color Project’s message. The public got the final say on which one of the 13 would adorn the cover, with “Teamwork Keeps Us Hydrated” claiming the most interactions on OUC’s Facebook page, from Nov. 14-17. Each of the 12 months on the calendar will feature a finalist.
The 2023 calendar is expected to be available for the public to pick up – for free – in January at OUC’s Reliable Plaza location, 100 W. Anderson Street, Orlando, 32801, during regular business hours.
