Every day, OUC employees make a difference beyond their work — strengthening neighborhoods, supporting youth programs, helping those in need, and giving their time to organizations that uplift our community. OUC’s supports employee volunteerism through our PROUD Volunteer Program. This year’s results once again showcase the remarkable generosity and commitment of our workforce.
During the 2024–2025 volunteer year, 113 OUC employees — along with 3 OUC retirees — contributed a combined 6,232 hours of service across Central Florida, supporting 105 local organizations and events.
Each year, OUC recognizes the three volunteers who contributed the most volunteer hours to our community. This year’s top three PROUD volunteers collectively dedicated more than 1,646 hours of service, an extraordinary contribution to our community.

North Lakeland Youth Soccer – 305 hours
A volunteer board member and youth soccer coach, Endy continues to create a safe, positive space for young people to learn teamwork, build confidence, and grow through sports.
#2: Ronaldo De Siqueira Porto, Sr. Business Applications Analyst
Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church – 409 hours
Ronaldo dedicates his weekends to supporting his parish community and contributing to its music ministry, calling the opportunity a blessing that allows him to serve others.
#1: Brian Wilson, Computer Specialist
Boy Scouts of America, Troop 306 – 932.5 hours
As Scoutmaster, Brian mentors youth, builds future leaders, and helps instill practical skills and values for life.

Why OUC’s PROUD Volunteer Program Matters
These volunteer efforts not only support our local nonprofit partners, they reflect who we are as The Reliable One. From youth mentorship and community cleanups to food support, music ministry, and faith-based services, our volunteers are helping strengthen the very communities we serve as a hometown utility.
Through the PROUD Volunteer Program, OUC also amplifies each employee’s personal commitment. When an employee volunteers 25 hours or more with an eligible organization, OUC provides a matching donation of up to $400 per organization each year.
