Holi-Dos
- Do inspect your power cords, lights and decorations and discard any that are worn out or damaged.
- Do use indoor lights and decorations inside and outdoor lights and decorations outside.
- Do keep candles on solid, steady surfaces and away from flammable items.
- Do watch out for overhead power lines when decorating the exterior of your house.
- Do choose decorations made of flame-resistant materials.
- Do keep space heaters at least three feet from bedding, clothing, draperies, furniture and rugs.

- Don’t overload outlets or power strips.
- Don’t leave decorations and lights on all night or when you are away from home.
- Don’t allow kids or pets to play with cords or electric decorations.
- Don’t string multiple extension cords together.
- Don’t run extension cords under rugs or furniture.
