OUC will draw 108.5 megawatts of power from the Taylor Creek and Harmony solar farms.

Two 74.5 megawatt solar farms are nearly ready to supply a combined 108.5 megawatts of clean energy to OUC – The Reliable One’s grid. Located in eastern Orange and Osceola counties, the Taylor Creek Solar Energy Center and Harmony Solar Energy Center, respectively, are expected to be fully operational on June 30. The sites are part of the Florida Municipal Solar Project, which is owned and operated by Florida Renewable Partners. The Florida Municipal Power Agency is the project coordinator. OUC is the only municipal utility drawing power from the Taylor Creek site and is one of six sharing the Harmony field. The two solar farms will provide OUC enough energy for approximately 20,000 typical Florida homes.
