Employees of OUC, along with their families, teamed up with the American Red Cross of Central Florida and the Orange County Fire Rescue Department to support the “Sound The Alarm” initiative, promoting fire safety and highlighting the importance of making safety a priority within the community.
Volunteers successfully installed 132 fire alarms in the Starlight Ranch Community, located near OUC’s Pershing Operations & Maintenance Center. This effort was part of the broader 2025 OUCares campaign, “Safety Is No Accident,” aimed at reinforcing fire prevention and safety awareness.
As the final volunteer event of the 2024 fiscal year, it proved to be one of the most impactful, with volunteers making a tangible difference by installing life-saving equipment designed to prevent the dangers of house fires.
