One of the upcoming renovations to the park is the OUC Solar Pavilion, a 4,800-square-foot solar-powered pavilion that will provide at least 30,000 watts of solar energy. The park will also include H2OUC hydration stations and OUC-branded electric vehicle charging stations. Additional renovations include the closure of a part of South Rio Grande Avenue, a splash pad, basketball courts, an ADA accessible playground, community garden and an ecology walk.
Lake Lorna Doone Park is located in OUC’s Empowerment Zone, which was created in partnership with LIFT Orlando, a non-profit designed to accelerate positive community transformations and economic development.
