OUC SUPPORTS GREAT BIG BACKPACK BUILD

Members of OUC’S Community Engagement team joined more than 100 volunteers in stuffing backpacks with essential school supplies at A Gift For Teaching’s annual The Great Big Backpack Build. Held at Valencia College’s West Campus on June 23, 2022, the 90-minute event produced 5,000 school-ready backpacks. Two other Great Big Backpack Builds were expected to yield 10,000 stuffed backpacks, with all 15,000 going to underserved Orange and Osceola county public schools students.

OUC was a corporate sponsor of the event for the eighth consecutive year, contributing funds toward the cost of school supplies.
