How to Report Power Outages and Set Up Outage Alerts

When the lights go out, you can feel… powerless.

But OUC makes it easy to report your outage and stay informed about when power will be restored.

Always Report Outages

If you lose power, even during a storm, report your outage to OUC, even if your outage is displayed on OUC’s Outage Map. This helps the utility identify ALL customers impacted by an outage so power can be restored as safely and quickly as possible. If your power is out, the cause could be an issue with your home that needs to be repaired and not an outage. Reporting your outage will help determine if this is the case.

There are three ways to report an outage:

Sign Up Now for Outage Alerts

Set up outage alerts to get automatic updates when your property loses power, including estimated restoration times. You’ll be notified if those estimates change, and receive a final alert when power is restored.

If you get a restoration alert but still don’t have power, report the outage again to OUC. There may be another issue, or a repair needed at your home. Reporting helps speed up finding the cause.

You can get alerts in English or Spanish by phone, text, or email. You can also add others at your property so they get alerts too. Here’s how to sign up:
