Bid for a Cause: Bid on One-of-a-Kind Rain Barrels and Support Local Student Artists

Looking for a unique way to support your community while promoting water conservation? OUC’s annual Water Color Project rain barrel auction is now open, offering customers the opportunity to bid on beautifully hand-painted rain barrels created by talented local student artists.

Each barrel is a functional work of art that helps conserve water while showcasing the creativity of Central Florida students. Even better, every winning bid directly benefits the participating schools’ visual arts programs, helping provide supplies and resources that inspire the next generation of artists.

The Water Color Project reflects OUC’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement by bringing together art, education and sustainability in a meaningful way.

“Programs like the Water Color Project show how one idea can create multiple benefits for our community,” said Karlene Santiago, Senior Community Engagement Coordinator. “Through these student-designed barrels, we’re encouraging water conservation, investing in arts education and creating meaningful connections between OUC and the communities we serve. Every bid helps make a lasting impact.”
